omg hi i'm kait and this is my blog!
I'm Kait and I'm a 26 year old from NJ. I've always loved writing, and blogs like this have been my outlet since I was in college. I went to school and lived in NYC for 4 years, and that's when I began to notice I really loved pop culture! I got super into late-night TV and cut class to go to tapings. My job might as well have paid me in Playbills and ticket stubs from the Regal Cinema in our neighborhood. And by the end of my senior year, my sorority sisters might have known too much about the cast of Riverdale, which was entirely my fault.
Music is a big part of my life. I spend a lot of my free time at concerts and I'm always looking forward to my favorite artists' next release. I have a lot of love for Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Olivia Rodrigo, and other pop girls!
As you may have guessed already, Disney -- specifically Disney Channel & the Disney Theme Parks -- has also been a huge part of my life since I was little. I started my first blog when I was getting ready to do my first of two Disney College Programs, and continue to write trip reports for my yearly vacations. My love for Disney overlaps with my love for writing, so there's going to be a lot of Walt Disney World related content on this blog. I've done almost everything a girl can do at the Disney Parks and was even a travel agent for a hot minute, so if you ever have questions about an upcoming vacation, I'm your girl and I'd love to help you out!
I'm also a massive fan of Disney Channel Original Movies. I have so many great memories of watching new DCOMs debut on Friday nights in my living room when I was a child. High School Musical, The Cheetah Girls, and Camp Rock were fundamental to me. When I went to college and started studying Communications, I also started researching some of these movies, reading academic articles about them, re-watching them through a different lens, and eventually writing papers about them for my media-based classes. Even though I graduated in 2019, I'm still trying to learn everything I can about their lasting impact on my generation -- I'd love to one day be some kind of DCOM expert and historian, and hopefully, I'll have a lot of content on this blog about Disney Channel specifically!
Whether you love Disney, music, movies, television, or all of the above, I hope you have fun on my blog! :)
